Help

Vectorworks provides access to a library of compatible products developed by third parties to optimize your efficiency in using Vectorworks. Choose from a variety of add ons and software applications developed to accommodate your design needs.

Some third-party products are available for free, while others require payment to the developer and/or a licensing process.

To identify and install third-party products:

Select the command.

A browser window opens.

On the Partner Products tab, search for products that meet your needs. Click on a product to open a page with additional details including developer information, technical compatibilities, Vectorworks product requirements, price, and available languages.

For desired products, click Install on the product page, and follow the installation instructions provided.

Restart Vectorworks to complete installation.

To manage installed third-party products:

Select the command.

A browser window opens.

Click on the Installed Products tab.

Installed products are listed, with developer information including both the current product version and the currently installed version. Management options are provided under each product.

Click to manage changes including updating (if available), uninstalling, or changing workspace availability.

Alternatively, click the product icon to open the product page and manage changes from there.

After installation, any web palette associated with the third-party product is available in the workspace's Window > Palettes > Web Palettes menu for ease of access.

During automatic and manual updates of Vectorworks, the update system also checks for updates to third-party products installed using the Install Partner Products command and notifies you if any exist (see Updating Vectorworks products).

Third-party products installed using the Install Partner Products command may be migrated to future versions of Vectorworks with the Vectorworks Migration Manager if they are available for the new Vectorworks version (see Vectorworks Migration Manager).
